Release notes

This version adds support for Cash Infinity machines and allows one safe to serve several accounts, each with its own currency.

• Cash Infinity machines can now be used for deposits, withdrawals, payments, change, replenishment, transfers, emptying and collections.
• If an operation is interrupted, it is completed safely once the machine is back in service, and any amount still due is kept on record so it can be paid later.
• Each account can have its own currency. Changing it afterwards requires an authorisation code.
• Reports and receipts show times in the time zone of each account's country.
• The amount to be paid can be read directly from the point-of-sale screen, without having to type it.
• Added support for CUSTOM PLUS2 receipt printers.
• Wi-Fi and wired network connections can be set up from the Settings screen.
• Updates are more reliable: your data is saved safely before each update, and the application restarts on its own when it finishes.

This release lets the safe report its operations to the cash-in-transit company on its own, and adds controls over how each site records and reviews them.

• Deposits, collections and other operations can be sent to the cash-in-transit company automatically, with no manual reporting. Each operation shows where it was sent and whether it was accepted, and can be sent again if the connection was unavailable at the time.
• The operator can record identification details on every operation — seal number, bag label and barcode — which travel with the operation to the cash-in-transit company and appear on the receipt.
• Each site can define its own password rules, in place of the fixed minimum that applied before.
• Report access and receipt reprinting can be granted per profile.
• The size of the interface can be adjusted in Settings, from 100% to 175%, for larger screens or where the display is read from a distance.
• Deposits recover more reliably from device faults, and notes returned to the operator are no longer counted as stored.
• Receipt printer detection no longer leaves the application unresponsive, and the installer configures the printer even when it is connected after installation.
• Corrected a startup failure and display artefacts affecting certain Linux systems.

This release adds monitoring of the safe's peripherals and makes connecting a machine for the first time considerably simpler.

• The application now monitors the safe's sensors, door and shutter, together with the uninterruptible power supply, and alerts the operator when something needs attention during an operation.
• Registering a machine no longer requires knowing its port or network address: the application can search for it and fill in the details.
• Deposits recover more reliably after a device error, returning the machine to service faster and with fewer steps for the operator.
• Deposit receipts and reports reflect exactly what the machine counted, and any difference later found in the safe is recorded separately as an inventory adjustment.
• The mouse pointer can be shown or hidden with a keyboard shortcut, for machines without a touchscreen.

This release adds full support for cash deposit operations and brings several usability improvements.

• Reports now support multiple currencies, with detailed values and summaries, and can be exported or printed.
• Automatic thermal printer setup, with receipts grouped by device.
• Improved stability and a refreshed interface, including the date shown next to the header clock.

Welcome to the first release of Smart Safe Client. This is the new desktop application for managing cash safes, with support for the Glory device family (CI, DE-70).
